Re-stating From what i understand, Primary's PD needs to be current to file for dependent I-485. Date does not matter for primary's I-485 approval. Is this a wrong statement?

I heard two different answers on this subject. One that I-140 needs to be applied within 60days of LC approval, and second that it needs to be applied while the date is current. Please Clarify.

Thanks for the response! However, I've one more question. Can spouse (who's on H4) be added to I-485 (In progress) regarless of PD getting current? If no, then isn't that a huge gamble to expect that PD will be current before I-485 approval?

Little confused with your message, RealCanadian! If you forget about marraige stuff, my case has to do with filing I-485 now, and expect to continue with steps in the I-485 post-process and get GreenCard. Where does PD come into picture here?
