I have my I-485 pening with NSC (I-140 approved). Currently I am in AOS status and using EAD for work.
Can I get pay checks from more than one employer? (a)From the present employer and b) the middleman who is between the client and my employer)
The LUD for my I-485 changed after 2 years. But the status is not updated.
The last LUD was sometime on 2004. I went to FP 2 times after that, but it was not changed.
What is this mean? Anyone had this similar experience?
I got FP notice 3rd time. For the last 2 times I and my wife got the notices. But this time I have only got the notice. I am the principal applicant.
Does anyone had similar experience?
Why they didn't send FP notice for my wife?
No need Transit Visa for AMS
I travelled to India in Jan 06 through AMS. You do not need a Transit visa for Amsterdam if you stay in the airport less than 12 hours. My case was similar to you (H1/H4 expired, used AP to re-enter)
My 485 pending with NSC.
I don't have copies of any immigration doc's (labor & I-140 approval copies)
Is there any form to request the above from INS?
I am thinking for moving to another job using AC21 and my present employer won't give the copies.
Got the same letter
I got the same letter from NSC. I have called earlier NSC and enquired about the status of the case since the processing date is May 2005. They said they will send the reason by mail. So that is the response of my enquiry.
As long as you maintain the H1 status your status is H1. Only if you use EAD, your status will change. Just keeping the approved EAD won't change your status. You can continue extending your H1 until you get GC.
You should be in H1 status to bring spouse in H4.
I & my wife will be going aboard for vacation. Our 485 is pending with NSC. Both got AP and also H1/H4 extension papers.
As I am still working in H1 and I want to continue using H1. So I am going for stamping in us consulate abroad. Since my wife is already working using EAD, she doesn't need...
I am planning to travel in DEC-JAN'06 to India through Amsterdam (KLM Airlines). I have checked with the consulate, they said I don't need a transit visa if my transit is less than 12 hours.
Any experience before?
My 485 is pending, H1 stamping expired(holding valid H1B ext papers), have AP.
You can check with the Airlines for Transit Visa req. If the airline stops before Dubai for re-fueling, check that country's transit visa req.
Better to call the consulates of countries you visit before India for transit visa req.
While coming back, If you have AP, I think you shoud only...
You can change your address. You have to call INS to update your new address for all your cases filled. Also you need to send the AR-11 form (for address change).
