yuren, I do not see the code in the scanned document I received from my attorney. Mostly attorney's office partially scanned the letter and sent it to me.
Thanks digs and Sept03NIW. Good luck with your 140/485.
Sept03NIW, I typed the RFE I received below.
You have checked box "D" in part 2 of the petition. Please submit a statement clarifying if this is correct or state under which classification you wish to be considered.
Thank you yuren. Yes, I initiated an inquiry for my 485 as I can not get the status through phone line and then pressurised my company/attorney to initiate an inquiry for my 140. I am not sure my attorney initiated an inquiry though. Couple of months back I contacted my senator, they responded...

Guys,
I just received emails about my 140 approval. I think there is some hope for Sep 2003 applicants.
Good Luck...

140 RFE Mid of Dec 2004 (Category Eb2 or EB3?)
INS received RFE response on Dec 22nd (Confirmed Eb2)
Not sure it is a good sign or not. But can you check it is for biometric or FP for FBI check? My spouse also received a notice. It is for biometric (code 2).
Even I (primary applicant) did not get the FP notice. I need to check today's mail. The FP notice is for biometric (code 2), the wordings are different from last FP notice.
My RFE is about category (EB2?) check.

Attorney confirmed that it is EB2.
Fingerprinting - Biometric code 2 for my spouse
Sep 2003 filers,
Yesterday my spouse received fingerprinting for biometric, scheduled mid of May. We finished our fingerprinting mid of May last year.
Just wanted to share.

140 RFE - Replied end of Dec 2004
140/485 EB2 - Sep 2003
I am also with you guys. The funny thing is we can not do a status check on our 140. So no other option other than asking company/attorney to do it. I wonder status check really helps or not....
Just my opinion - Please consult with an attorney
Sorry to hear that. I also received similar RFE in Dec 2004. We confirmed that it was EB2. No response from NSC yet.
If you/attorney/company feel your labor filing was for EB3, it is better to reply it as EB3. If you have evidence that it is...
Guys,
I asked my attorney's office to check the status of my 140 few days back, after the service center received my RFE reply on Dec 28th, 2004. Here is the reply.
As per USCIS, the case has just entered processing timeline. It takes another 30 days to process the case. No decision has...

Thanks bigbadwolf. I have taken a risk and replied that my application is under EB2. It has been 50+ days since NSC received my response. Still no update from NSC.
Srisathya, NSC did not ask me about my progressive experience. Their question was in which category my application falls into. I...

Hello,
I am a calm reader of this forum. This forum really helped me a lot.
My attorney received an RFE on my 140. The RFE is whether my application should be under EB2. I have bachelor degree in Engg. and have over 6+ years of experience when I applied my labor. If I tell them to classify...
