Can a GC holder travel to Caribbeans without an RTD? I know that US citizens are temporarily waved from carrying a passport. How about GC holders? I have applied for RTD and who knows when I will be gettting it. I'm supposed to leave on July 15th. Does anyone have a clue?
I'm planning on going to Canada next year. I guess starting Jan. 2007 all US citizens will be required to get a passport to cross the border to Canada. Does anybody know if an asylee w/green card will need to get an RTD??
Yes, the online notice say we have received your response to our request and so on, but today I got the letter in the mail saying welcome to the United States of America. I don't have any derivatives and its just me. It says if you don't receive your card within 3 weeks call us at this number.
Guys, I just received my approval notice. However, my online message remains the same. I hope this is not a cruel hoaks. I wish and pray for each and everyone of you for a speedy approval. Keep your hopes and spirits up. God bless and best of luck!

BIO+MED...
November issue of the INS's newsletter says that the backlog grew by .5%. I have no clue how they're gonna adjust over 1 million cases in just 10 months. Texas hasn't been able to adjust the 22,000 asylee cases in almost 3 months. With 2000 and 2001 cases still pending, I don't know how in the...
I think you have the option of cutting your fingers off and submitting them to INS and get them back after citizenship :D
But seriously, by law, INS or FBI can not hold on to your fingerprints unless you have a record w/ the police. That's why they expire every 15 months.
Well, I think what you're describing sounds like an inventory rather than an audit. I work for human resources in a company and every so often the auditors from the labor department come in and pull out only a few applications on a random basis to make sure we follow the procedure in hiring...
RFI Question
I just received my Bio and medical from TSC. The thing is they haven't enclosed the G-325A form. They just told me to download it from the internet. Question is how many copies do they need? I know the original application is color coded. Also, they haven't told me where to send...
What you might want to do is to shop around for physicians who would do the medical test for the best price. I shoped around in my area and prices ranged from $100-250. You can pick a doctor from the link below.

I just received an email from Texas service center saying they have sent a notice requesting additional evidence. Looks like cases in Texas have started to being looked at.

Name check
I think this information taken from FBI's website would be helpful for you to figure out how do they go about doing the name check for issuing a visa and permanent residency. Here's the link.

Asylees part of backlog elimination
The September issue of USCIS newsletter says that their backlog grew by 174.000 cases because asylees were added to the backlog because of the removal of the cap. Supposedly we're part of the backlog now and targeted for elimination by the end of FY 2006...
Guys, looks like there's a pattern developing here. It seems people who submitted the medicals initally at the time of filing are getting RFI's sooner. Don't you think?
