I was in the same boat as you're. (My case was even worse). I walked in to local BCIS office, along with a letter from my employer stating that I'll be laid off, and got an interim EAD. Good luck!

einuj somar, You mentioned that it took 2 months for you get the renewal. Is it to get the approval or to get the card. I was told by lawyer that now a days, its taking 2 months to get it approved and that that's all I need to get back to my job. Is that correct. Please advice.
