Could those whose parents/relatives' B visa was rejected at first but was later approved post their cases here? Particularly please tell what you did and how you strategized after the first rejection. Thanks a lot. Sanket

    Sanket stamped at Newark

No Title Don\'t know about that. I was a bit surprized that my passport was stamped on the first floor (Indian ground floor). I have read people going to 3rd floor. I guess that is if you have to have a formal interview ..

    Sanket-485 Approved; RD-3/99, ND-4/99

No Title Newark. FP on 2/99. PD - current (since EB1 is almost always current). FBI can simply tell if it is done. You cannot do anything until VSC acts on it, and informs you if it is rejected. No news in a month or so means it is accepted.

    Sanket-485 Approved; RD-3/99, ND-4/99

No Title Thanks for appreciating my past posts. This board always had an awesome group of users. Additional Info which may be of use to some people: No RFE. Contacted Senator; did not help. This disapproves the conspiracy theory that contacting senator or talking to IIO hurts your cause...

7/99 case is pending for a decision

No Title I called this morning (7/7/00), and was told that my case (RD 3/99, ND 4/99) is in jurisdiction. He did not comment on if that means it is in hands of an officer. However, when I asked him how long it would take, he said that it could take months (not days or weeks). I know that...

No Title I don\'t mind VSC going into sleep as long as it wakes up every once a while to take long leaps :-)

    State of the VSC

No Title The model (dated 4/26) is reproduced here: ------------------------------------ The model "2:1" suggests that VSC is clearing 4 weeks of I485s in 2 weeks. Proof? I have been following all the VSC approvals after VSC came out of hibernation. Here is what I observed...

    State of the VSC

Am I the only one who thinks VSC is like a lazy, carefree brat, who lightens up the party when awake and stinks up the joint when asleep? After hibernating for solid three weeks, which prompted me to trash my predictive model, triggered a thought of a lawsuit on this forum, and made...

    Some Numbers about VSC

No Title Few months ago, there was a report that VSC hired 25 new immigration officers. Some of may be working on citizenship etc. But, it is safe to believe that officers working on GC are about 20-40.

    Vsc..

No Title No approvals from VSC, and the changes taking place on this board are making it difficult to have any coherent discussion. I hope this board stablizes soon. That\'s the key. I know some approvals (Oct 98) but people are not keen to cope up with the sluggish board and post their...
