Absolutely? Why this disbelief?
Absolutely none. You just need to be VERY CAREFUL that USCIS doesn't reject your petition citing, "you should file I-130." At times, they overlook and see this type of case as being one of an LPR filing for his/her spouse "after marriage" and they tend to...

Sure you bet, bud! Thanks a lot for your felicitations. It is nice to see you around as well.
Thanks a lot to others as well. Stay hopeful and fight up a good fight. Good luck.

My wife's approval date was 10/02/2006. Online update stated the approval on 10/03/2006. She got her card by mail on 10/07/2006 (Saturday).
Got Plastic Card
Received the Plastic Card by mail on Saturday, 10/07/2006. Online status was updated on Friday night, 10/06/2006.
The journey is finally over. Thanks, everybody. Good luck on your schlep and I will be hanging around this forum to offer my two cents. God bless.
This could be a problem, especially anything that has to do with names or identities.
This could be the most important reason for your transfer, I think. Please work well on this.
As long as the fender-bender was not due to DUI or DWI, you don't need to feel too bad about it.

You will get the approval or denial letter from the local office where your file was transferred. Regarding my dramatic approval, you can read it in more detail here: http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=191458
I wouldn't take the local-office customer-service reps' advice seriously, unless the person who is looking into your case is very concerned about you and even bothers to move his or her body a little bit to get more information. I made close to 18 local-office visits, when 17 visits yielded...
Right. I will not be absolutely worried for the local-office transfer and will cross the bridge as it comes. The only bell that will toll to beg for your attention will be when you get a highly customized letter that is very specific and explicit to your case by listing very specific documents...

Saras's description is right on the money. I have nothing more to add here.
Forget about the "skip" portion of the argument and let us concentrate on "ask for even more" portion of it. This is a harbinger of things to come. Ask yourself certain honest questions when a case...
I heard it over the grapevine that it takes anywhere between 1-4 weeks these days. Last year, it took 5 weeks for me. For the first 4 weeks after my approval, USCIS was sending mine to a wrong address where I never resided! Else, I would have gotten mine within 1 week last year.
Being a veteran of this forum, I do know of one case where this happened. Please search the forum. The situation was something like this. The guy's PD was NOT current from OCTOBER 2005 onwards. However, he received an approval in NOVEMBER 2005 or DECEMBER 2005. He was flummoxed as everybody did...
I had mother lodes of experiences like that. It is a nostrum and means nothing. ADO is a leviathan and unless you really run into a caring soul who can take a look into your case specifically, these communiques mean nothing. Keep trying. That's the only way I could get behind the behemoth.
