I heard it over the grapevine that it takes anywhere between 1-4 weeks these days. Last year, it took 5 weeks for me. For the first 4 weeks after my approval, USCIS was sending mine to a wrong address where I never resided! Else, I would have gotten mine within 1 week last year.
 
Which lawyer did you use for filing WOM?

In your experience, is1.5 years wait - enough justification for filing WOM?

Did not use a lawyer. Filed Prose.

Regarding 1.5 years...you need to show that you have exhausted all channels of help..e.g. Infopass, Senators, Congressman, FBI, Ombudsman, etc to show no other option available.
 
Congrats everyone who got approval, its good to see approval after a long silent.
