I would say watch movie "fear of persecution" and you can have practice interviews with your lawyer, that really helps. i dont know any counseling center where you can practice, i dont think so there is one. good luck.

I read on SS documents some where that once my status changes/get permanant residend, I need to update the record with social security, I would definaltely advise you to go there and get it done. It may/may not benefit you, but definatley will not harm you. hope this helps.
