I just added my 2 fillings to the document. I will keep you posted hoping things will start moving after Labor Day. I thank you again for all your support.Access granted.
Hi Mum, I juste got a a mail with a new appointment for Biometric on 09/11 for both applications I-485 and I-765. It seems they are not using my biometrics from 07/02. I am going to try to change the date and have an appointment earlier. I am surprised that the tracking for my I-765 indicates that they applied my fingerprints and that now they ask me to redo it.1. If the previous bio has been applied to your new I-765 filing, it will also be applied to the I-485.
2. No, it doesn’t necessarily mean the bio had cleared as at when the previous application was denied for early filing.
3. Your I-485 should already be with your FO at this point.
4. Yours is not the only application your FO is dealing with, there are several non DV based AOS applications your FO is dealing with, most of them filed before yours. They also have to attend to those while seeking a convenient slot to slide your case into. You filed on 8/12, so you need to be patient.
No, because we were not married.Follow up question for you:
You got married to your spouse after your DV selection. Prior to getting married, did you ever submit any other application to USCIS in which you and your partner selected married as your marital status on the form (considering you and your partner have been together for 10 years? Like your UHP application? Work permit? The I-134 submitted in support of your HP application?

1. Will they do another background check after doing my 2nd biometric?
2. Can it be a mistake for them to mail me another appointment for biometrics?
The reason I asked is because I remember a case from last year about a Ukrainian couple who had been together for a while as partners, (not married), and where independently paroled into the US under UHP. They got officially married after one of them became a DV selectee. But prior to filing for AOS, they made the mistake of presenting themselves as a married couple to USCIS, presented documents to demonstrate they were in a civil marriage, I guess because they thought it would be beneficial to do so. Unfortunately, it negatively impacted their subsequent AOS filing. The wife, who was the select, was fortunate to get approved though, but the husband’s AOS application was denied. So I’m hoping you haven’t been in a similar situation at any point in time in your interactions with the different government agencies. No, because we were not married.
All of our applications were submitted together on the same day, from the same device. For the past three years, from the very beginning, every single application has always had the same address, since we have been living together in the United States the entire time.
Also SSN, EAD, Driver licenses and all other documents and notices/receipts on the same address of both of us
For 1 and 2 - Independently.
I never saw the option "common-law partners" in the USCIS forms.
However, when my husband first filled out the I-821 and I-765 forms (in 2022), he provided in the section "Additional Information" that he has been in a civil marriage since 2001 and included my passport information there.
We indicated "Single" as our marital status in all applications that were submitted before we received our marriage certificate.
Only the forms we submitted this spring I-131 Ukrainian Re-Parole contains information that we are married.
We were told that civil marriages...
Right. I should have checked DV2026 forum. Not applicable to DV2025. New payment format is effective from Oct. 28th, so folks do not need to be concerned about the update.
In response to the Request for Evidence, I provided: joint photos since 2016, joint trips, tickets, reservations, shared residential addresses in the U.S. and in Ukraine, joint bank accounts after marriage, a joint tax return, joint insurance policies, phone bills and similar documents, affidavits from relatives/friends/acquaintances, and possibly other items that I no longer recall. The reason I asked is because I remember a case from last year about a Ukrainian couple who had been together for a while as partners, (not married), and where independently paroled into the US under UHP. Here’s my summarized post about the case (click on it to read my actual post):

Also same guy did a humanitarian parole for us, and he suppurt us on 134 for dv lottery.
I checked all our previous forms to USCIS and all forms shows “single” or “single, never married” depends what type of answer they provide to chooseThe essence of my post is to help you think back on any previous filing or supporting documents you might have submitted where you might have tried to portray yourselves as being in a civil marriage as this could be a source of concern. For instance, check your TPS application, what did you list as your marital status? If you have not submitted any such documents or filled out any form as such presenting your 10 year relationship as some sort of civil marriage, then you’re okay from that end. You just need to continue keeping your fingers crossed and remain hopeful.
Great update, thank you. And congratulations.I wanted to provide an update on my case. On July 28, 2025, the status was updated to "We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you", because my number was current in August.
I wanted to wait till the end of August to contact the congressman, but on August 21st, the status was changed to "We ordered your new card". The interview was indeed waived, on August 26th I received the approval notice, and yesterday I received my green card. Thank you everyone for the support and advice, and a big thanks to Mom!
Awesome news! As you were right in front of me in San Antonio, I hope this bears good tidings for our case as we're likely the only other DV case right after you in the San Antonio FO!I wanted to provide an update on my case. What is your username on the Timeline spreadsheet?Hello everyone, I was scheduled to go to an interview on September 4 at Oakland Park, FL. I got the interview letter back in mid-July (I was done with biometrics early July) and my number became current in August (EU21XXX).
I just checked my USCIS account and saw an update that says "New Card Is Being Produced". Is this a glitch or does this mean they decided to waive my interview? Should I still go to the interview on September 4? Appreciate everyone's help.
Just sent request to add my informationWhat is your username on the Timeline spreadsheet?
So with this news @Sm1smom what do you think about delaying a congressional inquiry for our case?Awesome news! As you were right in front of me in San Antonio, I hope this bears good tidings for our case as we're likely the only other DV case right after you in the San Antonio FO!
1&2. I don’t see any harm in initiating the congressional case inquiry anytime this week, nor in requesting assistance with submitting your DV administrative fee payment receipt - this is not a case of providing unsolicited information considering this is a document that out to have been sent with the AOS package. So with this news @Sm1smom what do you think about delaying a congressional inquiry for our case?
1. Do you think it’s still worth doing it on Tuesday or do you think we should delay it a little bit considering it seems like they’re aware of stuff and working on it. What would you do?
2. Last year someone asked the representative to send along their dv fee receipt since they didn’t include it in the initial filing and they ended up having their interview waived. Do you think that’s worth doing for us or would you be more on the side of not providing any unsolicited information?
Thanks.
