Attorney for i730?

What does it mean” we transferred your case to USCIS international office or DOS for processing. Does someone else receive the same message and what was the next step after this?

And i receive a notice which says the case was transferred to international office or dos office but still i didn’t receive approval notice am the beneficiary living in Gambia

Give it about 8 weeks and you’ll get the approval notice which will kickstart the consular stage.

Oh thank you so since it was was transferred to international office/dos office already after the approval notice the embassy will get the case or it will go to nvc

The case will go to NVC only after USCIS approves it. The transfer is to another USCIS office for final processing before approving.
 
Thanks a lot . Please do you have any idea how long the case will take to be transferred to NVC, and how long it’ll take for NVC to transfer it to the embassy abroad?
Hi @Mai b, could you kindly share the times taken from approval to NVC to embassy to interview scheduling from your experience?

Oh cool so the transfer to international office/dos looks positive cuz they said the preliminary review is completed according to the notice i received

24 April 2025 case was transferred and new office has jurisdiction.
Notice letter received 27 April 2025 which says preliminary review is completed we transferred your case to international office or dos office in the beneficiary residence where interview will take place when that office received it either either international office or nvc will send instructions on your beneficiary interview.

I applied in August 2024, fingerprints were done in September 2024.
And since then the status simply says fees were waived.

No didn’t expedite it, the beneficiary is in Gambia not in the us.

Got it. I also have a child that is outside the US, and I filed for the child in September 2024 - the status also still says 'fees were waived' since then.
So in your case, you at least got some movement.

hopefully they will transfer it soon the processing times can be vary sometimes
