    Is there any way to make USCIS change the status to reflect actual status. My status is same for over 2 years now. My case is perhaps approved too but I am not sure.Employer is not cooperating with this. Any other options?

    have you used all 6 years on H-1. You can apply for h-1 only thing you need to go out of u.s. and get stamped. then start your GC process with new stable employer.

    You can safely use your EAD to work. but will not hurt to try h-1 extension first,if h gets rejected use ead and continue working. do not worry.
