Since your lawyer could not help, how about taking an InfoPass apptmt at the same USCIS office where you did the passport stamping and and ask them how to correct it.

IMHO few weeks should be OK, just make sure you are not travelling outside the country, without stamping after approval. If you just got the approval email or online status change, then you will get a few weeks before the actual approval letter comes by mail, then it will take few more...

My approval notice said ADIT, but the lawyer asked me to take regular photos as specified by uscis : http://uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/newsrels/04_08_02Photo_flyer.pdf
