    Anyone got oath letter lately?

I was scheduled for an oath by phone as well, 2 days before the ceremony. I went to the DO and told them i was there for the Oath, and they gave me the form with the questionnaire on the back right there, on the spot. although i must admit i would've felt much better if i already had the letter...

    Anyone got oath letter lately?

Re: I-130 and original doc Hi, EMC sorry i have not been checking this forum lately... hope you've gotten the Oath letter by now. Re: passport. You have to submit the original natz certificate, they will not take any kind of copies. re: I-130. you can submit a simple Xerox copy of your...

    Anyone got oath letter lately?

Hi, EMC Try another congressman or a senator. what does it mean "they are afraid to push the INS?" If they don't want to push the INS, nobody else can. Your file is sitting somewhere on the shelf of your local INS office gathering dust. I had gone to two Congressmen and two Senators in my...

    JoeF and Friends your thoughts

NILC has a pointer to the document issued by the INS that explains in detail what the INS considers public aid and how they determine whether the use of public aid will affect immigration benefits. this is where much of the information on their website comes from. Look around on the NILC website...

    JoeF and Friends your thoughts

My guess is that it won't. check out www.nilc.org, it's a great resource for public aid + immigration related info. I bought their book "Guide to Federal Benefits...", it's well worth the money ($80 for an individual). It has a list of all state and federal public aid programs and how the use of...

    On an oath day

No, you don't need to. They will recite the oath and you will repeat after the judge. You won't get to sing the star-spangled banner either :)

    Anyone got oath letter lately?

Hi, EMC you are correct, my attorney advised me that my mom shouldn't travel past 6 mo after her I-94 expires, even with AP. She's not going anywhere anyways, so that's not a problem. Good luck to you again SV

    Anyone got oath letter lately?

BTW, my attorney told me it takes about a year to adjust a parent (by the same token i infer a spouse also). Sounds like a walk in the park, but with the INS you never know :)

    Anyone got oath letter lately?

Thanks, folks. I cannot describe the feeling of releif I've been feeling since Monday :) EMC I'm in the process of filing adjustment for my mom who's currently in the US. What we did ahead of time was getting the photos done and getting her medical stuff taken care of. Medical cost us about...

Hi, EMC I just opened the browser to post my news and saw your post there :) I actually got naturalized yesterday! I still cannot beleive it, that this nightmare is finally behind me! Here is what happened. Two weeks ago my husband an I contacted a Congressman (by email), actually, his...

    Medi-Cal and naturalization

Gotcha. No, it will not affect any natz decisions. Regarding an affidavit of support: if you signed I-134 then you don't need to repay anything as it's not binding. If you signed I-864 (if you petitioned for your wife), then you may need to repay some benefits as this document is binding. For...

    Medi-Cal and naturalization

I think the reason you are not getting any replies is because a lot of us have no clue of what Medi-Cal is ;)

    N400 & system queue

Have you tried to obtain your case status online? Also, all the timelines went to the dogs last Novemeber when the INS started to enforce the mandatory background checks on all natz applicants. Yes, they process people out of order. Yes, they are supposed to process in chron. order but the...

    Help me please!

Unless US citizenship is not really important to you (i.e. you are not going to petition for your family or your passport is in no danger of expiration) DO NOT reschedule ANY INS appointments. Beware it will almost 100% certain that this rescheduling will put you back many, many months. Trust...
