With respect to the question above, if it is not possible to get a non-availability letter from the goverment/health center of rangoon, could this document be waived by USCIS.

My Mother's I-485 in in progress currently, received a letter stating need additional evidence of non avilability of birth certicate. The issue is that she was born in rangoon, myanmmar in 1942 during which time records were not maintained. Tried getting a letter from Burma/Rangoon government...

Hi Ginnu, Currently she has a Indian passport which states her place of birth has Rangoon. She has no way of getting NA from Burma, since she has no one there and also when she was born there was no proper recod keeping in burma. Could we file for her GC just based on affidavits from india...

Gc... Thank you folks your replies, she applied for I-130 in the Dec 2006, i guess it will be some time when she gets her GC. Based on what you folks are saying her family members (husband,kids if they are minor) will also get GC right. Should the kids be below 21.
