There were printed papers with blanks to fillup the case details. She just wrote my name, A#, FP1 and date (1 notice for me and 1 for my wife). Those papers were taken at the ASC where we gave our FPs. So I dont have anything with me now.

venkat04 I explained how I did my FP in my message. I took an infopass to enquire about my case and was able to impress on the person that VSC erred in not sending the FP1 to me even after 18 months. So they gave me FP notice and I did my FP. Hope this helps

You can apply at any Indian consulate in person or by mail. All the details are available at consulates' websites. Its easy and no hassle. I did that.

Thanks. Took the infopass appointment after 2 weeks. Mine and my son's are transferred and received simillar emails. But my wife's did not get tranferred. Her status still shows FP received.

Thanks for the info. Name check is a routine check carried out by the FBI on the request of USCIS. Once you file 485, USCIS will send your name to FBI to check any records (criminal) are present or clean. Now I am confused. Did you already attend an interview?
