    Change of Status - B2 to B1

You can file I-539 to apply for extension if you do not want to leave USA. Or you can leave USA and re-enter with a valid B1/B2 visa. With the UN document a short time re-enter should not be a problem. http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-539.pdf

    Priority date

You can go to the Visa bulletin to check your priority date: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/checkdate.html

What’s fastest: Status change fr B2 to J2 in US, or apply for J2 from outside US. Thoughts please!

If you want to be together, plan 1 seems better. I-765 usually takes 3 months.

    Finger Print notice not received

Make an INFOPASS online first , and talk with the USCIS officer, showing the reasons why you want to get FP done ASAP. Especially in the afternoon if they've finished all the appointments, they will let you walk-in and do it.

    Finger Print notice not received

You can call USCIS to check what's going on, or you can submit an e-Request on USCIS website. Also you can make an INFOPASS online, and if lucky enough you can get FP done by walking in.

The 2 year waiver should be applicable to me but now...

If UK is not your legal permanent residence, check your nationality.

Husband visiting wife with Green Card

No. If she petitions for you now, the current waiting time for F2A is more than one year. During the waiting time you have to maintain your status by yourself, like going to school as an F-1 student, or go to work as an H-1b.

I-130 for my brother and his family is about to become current.

If your I-130 is approved, you will receive an approval letter. And then the case will transfer to NVC, then get a new case number. And then wait...... Currently the waiting time for F-4 is about more than 10 years.

    NVC processing time frame

Probably the date on the letter from NVC.

    Income situation

You have to file I-864 for your wife as a sponsor, and your sister will file I-864, too, as a joint sponsor. She will add you and your wife to her family members. I-864 requires to attach tax returns.

The 2 year waiver should be applicable to me but now...

It depends on your nationality, if UK is not your legal permanent residence. What kind of status when you were in UK?

[Need Help] miss previous I-20 after submission to USCIS

USCIS has the whole records of all your I-20, if you can fill your I-765 with correct numbers (like date or anything), it would not be a big issue. You need to attach your recent I-20(s) to the I-765.

what is immigration status between J1 expiration & H1b approval

If your employer finds a new sponsor for your new J-1, you have to apply for another J-1 waiver before you can apply for H-1b on April 1. I guess time is not enough.

what is immigration status between J1 expiration & H1b approval

You should not touch J-1 again if you want to get H-1b. F-1 is better.
