Priority date

At the USCIS website it is stated that to file for adjustment of status, the priority date MUST be current. My question is at what point does the Priority date (for I-130) in a visa category become current?

respected rajiv sir.
my wife is in us.and she is a permanent resident. my prority date is on february 11 2014 and got approved on april 3 2014,and also she received a email from nvc with invoice number on january 7 2015,. so my question is will there will be a movement from nvc next soon or it will get delay. and also is there any chance increase the f2a spouse visa intake ,please reply sir.
