Understanding the rules?
I was trying to understand the 45 day rule from immigration-law.com:
Sounds like the 45 day rule will apply to labor certs that will be approved in teh future. If your labor cert has already been approved, then no changes to your case? Any thoughts on that?
The...
Grandkids rock.
Your grand-kid can use your PD.
You can get married and bring your wife on H4 or get her an independent H1. In fact if your wife is on H1 and applies for another GC, you can always transfer the 2nd priority date to the second "priority" Grand Child after 20+ years.
But...
Sorry to hear your situation. Perhaps you should talk to a "competent" and "honest" attorney, he might be able to suggest "loop-holes". Yes, the immigration system is not fair nor compassionate. Immigrants are "not required" to be teated with justice or compassion. That is the way it has always...
Chaterjee,
I do not think there will be problems in Singapore, serveral people regularly do it. Once again, what are stories you have heard about Singapore ?
Chatterjee,
I do not think you need to worry. A friend of mine applied for I485 and then left the USA- his application was then considered withdrawn. 2 years later he got B1 stamping in Chennai for a MNC and came back to USA for a few months. They do not give these things much importance.. If...
Is probably a very straightforward issue. You husband would be given something similar to a green card with which he can start working in USA immediately. Should not be much of a hassle, should not take too much time. Contact a competent attorney, that might be a little tricky :p
Go though...
Yeah, in general you can.
But watch out for ability to pay issues while in your I140 stage. That is the latest strategy that USCIS is using to block this strategy.
Interesting approach
But probably not a good idea to try that trick, given our experience, the kind of rule changes that USCIS does all the time, this kind of plan I think would be a little tricky..
Hmmm... interesting strategy, I do not think it will work.
I guess the lawyer would then charge money for filing I485. On the other hand, I cannot think of anything negative that can happen, USCIS would just return the applicaiton back.
But the lawyer would probably keep his fee :D...
I am so sorry to hear about the things these kids need to go through to get an education. The last thing that a college student should have to worry about is "legal status". Preventing a child from gaining knowlege is the worst kind of sin.
Rajiv would be the best- BY FAR!
I noticed that some of us are not aware of his tireless and selfless efforts for us. Please refer to the following thread where he took on the system at his expense for us- the class action lawsuit which he did for us for almost 1 year...
