    H2b SSN valid for any field of work?

    Many thanks. My understanding is that an H2B visa holder's SSN card would be restricted, and on the card written the words: "Valid for work only with DHS authorization". Is this correct and if so would every visa holder's SSN card also be restricted?

    I was born in Canada to parents from Uruguay. They were both in Canada as Christian missionaries at the time of my birth. After my birth they decided to stay and became Canadian citizens.
