Processing time for green card based on asylum

I don't think the drop in November is due to Nov 26th incident for two reasons:
1- It's near end of the month so even if they stopped then it won't drop their processing by around 25%
2- It's Thanksgiving time so they were already done for the month

I do agree though that the little number of approvals are probably mandamus lawsuits + those the gov prioritize + maybe super old cases

But not looking good at all, for the average processing time to remain stable (which it is already high) they need to process cases equal to the ones they receive, but right now they are processing maybe 8% of the equivalent number of cases received. If nothing changes the average processing time will jump to potentially 4 years by the time this administration leaves

Writ of mandamus

Hey guys. It's my turn:

- June 27, 2024 We received your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
- July 3, 2024 The fingerprints related to your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status were taken.
- May 9, 2025 Your interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, was completed, and your case must be reviewed. We will mail you a notice if we make a decision or take further action.

I had been waiting for almost 7 or 8 months by that time. I then tried to contact the Congressman, USCIS but to no avail. I decided to file a writ of mandamus.

- In early February, 2026 I filed a writ of mandamus as Pro SE.
- In late February, 2026 Then the judge dismissed my lawsuit with the following comment: "the complaint is DISMISSED with leave for the plaintiff to file an amended complaint."
- In early March, 2026 I filed an amendment complaint.
- March 11, 2026 We ordered your new card.
- March 19, 2026 I received my Green Card.

_______

To fill out the writ of mandamus, I relied 50–70% on these instructions, supplementing and refining them independently with the help of Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT.
