Hi. Once again it’s time for me to renew my EAD and I have few question:

1. Last time I’ve done it in 2021 and it took 15 months to get new one. How kind does it take to get new card now?

2. I heard now they give EAD for 5 years. Is it true and if everyone gets it for 5 years?

3. Did situation with driver license change or I still need new card in order to renew my driver license?

Thanks for responses!

Hi. I applied for asylum in Boston in May 2019. Still waiting for the interview. Does anyone lease applied around that time? Are you still waiting or done your interview?

I want to hear your waiting time stories if you don’t mind sharing them!

Thanks!

The asylum interview waiting time varies widely by country, location, and case backlog. In the U.S., for example, wait times can range from a few months to several years due to high demand and limited resources. Some cases are prioritized, like those with urgent humanitarian needs, but overall, the wait can be unpredictable. Check with local immigration authorities or consult an immigration attorney for the most current and specific wait times in your area.

Hi, there’s really so much you can do atp, if you do want to get an interview asap without suing, you can reach out to your office and see if they have a shortlist you can add yourself to or if they do expedite requests but those usually have specific criteria you’d have to prove to get approved. Other than these steps, you could also try asking your congressman/senate or CIS ombudsman for assistance in reaching out to the office.

If you try all these and nothing works, the only other option would be a Mandamus lawsuit
