TB Mucus Test

hey people.

i have a question about medicals.

i went to make my medicals done today and guess what.

Doctor saw something in X-RAY and i am going to take 3 day mucus test.
I did not have TB and i don't have!!!

What will happen now? Will it effect my interview with my wife?
And guess what, my wife's medicals are ok.

when we go to the interview, will the learn at the interview that "if no TB is seen, you are going to get your visa"

something like that?

If the sputum test comes back positive, you will need to complete treatment before your visa can be issued. If you're the primary applicant, your wife will not be issued with a visa until you complete the treatment and the doctor clears you.

The sputum test you've been asked to take will help the doctor determine whether indeed you have (or had) TB and whether it's a type 'A' or type 'B' TB.

According to 9 FAM 40.11 N9.2-1:

A visa applicant identified by the panel physician as having "Class A" infectious tuberculosis is ineligible to receive a visa under INA 212(a)(1) (8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(1)).

Also, 9 FAM 40.11 N9.2-2 says:

An alien who is found to have "Class B" medical condition for tuberculosis is not inadmissible under INA 212(a)(1)(A)(i) (8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(1)(A)(i)).

The medical exam of any applicant who is classified as having TB is not considered complete until the applicant completes the recommended treatment or has a negative sputum smear examination for acid fast bacilli on three consecutive days. One positive outlook with your case is if indeed your mucus test confirms the presence of TB in your system, you have enough time to complete the treatment before your FY ends.

i am pretty sure that my mucus test will be negative. i am just sick for waiting eight weeks more.

anyone had this test too?

good things take time~

Hi, my boyfriend is currently undergoing the same situation. He also has to wait for 8 weeks to prove that the culture is clean, then he can reschedule the date for the interview. I'm sure both of you will be fine. Again, good things take time. So be patient, and that day will come soon! I cannot wait for him to come to US. =]

Bio weapon? What on earth is your post about? Your other post on this forum similarly does not make any contribution or make a lot of sense. I think I may report this user.
