I'm in the process of completing form N-400. I have lived as a permanent resident in the USA for five years.
I have never been employed since living in the USA so I have never filed an income tax return. I checked the IRS website 'Do I Need to File a Tax Return?' and this indicated that I was not required to file and I have talked with an accountant who backed that up.
I am financially comfortable.
Do I need to provide any type of documentation from an accountant to confirm I do not need to file a tax return when submitting Form N-400, or is my word that I have never worked and do not need to file enough?
