I have both my maternal and paternal last names in my social security\id cards, i really regret not taking one name off so I don't have to constantly write both names on all my documents, what are my options now? is been a month since the oath.

You can do it through the court. A judge will have to approve it first though. No big deal really. Just google "name change ___your state___"

I live in Florida, do you know how much does the name change process cost? also is it unethical if I just use only one of my last names for everything even though it doesn't match my social security\state id totally?

If you legally change your name, you'd have to amend all your documents, including your SS card, passport, licence, etc. It's going to cost you a lot of money to get all this done. Bank accounts, too.

If you don't change your name, you can use just your first name and skip middle names, but if your last name on ID contains both the grandparents' names, then that IS your last name, and shortening it for official use wouldn't be allowed.

why would it cost a lot of money?

lets say change your name when you become a citizen, your new name will appear on your american passport, so they only IMPORTANT things you have to update is SS card, and license, how would that cost a lot of money? do you even know how much it cost?

After the name change itself is done, the rest shouldn't cost much money. The SS change is free. License maybe $20-$50. Bank accounts, free. And if the OP doesn't already have a US passport (it's been only 1 month since the oath), the name change wouldn't add to the cost of the passport, except for the delay of waiting for the name change to be completed before applying for the passport.
