Applying GC for mom

My mother is currently in the US on tourist visa and she is staying with my brother in Michigan. I live in California. I wanted to check whether it is OK for my mom to be staying in Michigan while I file GC for her in California.

Well then you should be able to apply for her AOS using your address. However it is always better to go via the CP route.
