How do i get an extension on a Request for Evidence?

I have a july 24th deadline to get the requested documents back to USCIS, but
the documents which i'm getting from a foreign country won't be available till
july 28th. they had 2 mths to get them ready and are/were aware of when
they would be needed.

how would i go about getting an extension on the deadline if its possible?

Does the notice state “an extension of time will not be granted for you to submit the requested evidence”?
 
Respond on time with whatever you do have and explain. An RFE may not be extended BUT a new one CAN be issued with a new deadline AND if the case were denied for abandonment, it's a dead deal. A denial for a lack of some of the evidence can be reopened on Motion later supported by the missing evidence.
