Hello,

My girlfriend has been in the United States and working for three year, she has very good english. My girlfriend, her brother and mom moved here from the Philippines three years ago, her step dad brought them over here, paid the legal fees and everything. Now that they are over here, the mother and step dad arnt getting along, my girlfriend was kicked out of the house and is living with me and now the father wants her green card back and is putting her mother through hell. My question for you'll would be, is there anyway she can still stay here with out going back is the father sends them back or revokes their cards?

Appreciate it much, thanks

(sorry for the poor grammar :( )

She is about to turn 20 in two months, however, she is 19.
She is an adult and her father has no legal hold over her. Her green card is hers to keep and her father cannot cancel it or get her deported. She is free to live her life any way she wishes.

Hes a control freak. your gf needs to tell him to go F himself and live her life the way she wants to. The funniest thing is that he probably thinks that he can just call the 800 number and cancel the her gc. Fortunately, its not so and as its already been said he won't be able to do anything in this situation.

Does she have a 10-year green card? If she only has the 2-year conditional card and is still waiting for approval of the removal of conditions, he could make it difficult for her to get the 10-year card approved.

But if she already has the 10-year card, he has no legal power over her green card. Of course, he could still try to physically take it away, so she needs to keep it out of his reach, and she should make copies of it in case he gets hold of it. Having a copy of it is important for getting it replaced.

If he physically takes it, call the cops. Since it's her personal possession without a shred of doubt, it would be considered theft to take the card.

Yes, but if he takes it and destroys it, she still needs to replace it even if they throw him in jail.

Take a look at her card and let us know what the expiry date is. Did she come to the US on a K-2 visa?
