No e-mail from KCC means disqualification?

Many persons have received an e-mail from KCC relative to their Confirmation Number.

However, upon review of the same, it is noted that the e-mail indicated "You have submitted a QUALIFIED entry". Does this mean that every other applicant who have provided an e-mail address but has not received an e-mail can now consider themselves DISQUALIFIED? Thanks:confused:

Logically disqualification is a part of drawing process. As far as the new drawing is in place, disqualifications are yet to come. So, most likely even if you entry was disqualified, it would still start all over again.

I do not believe that is the case. A lot of winners have not received the e-mail either. They would not have been selected for further processing if their entry had been disqualified.

Noted. However, the drawing/selection process has already taken place. But we are trying to find out as to why we have yet to receive an e-mail. Again, is it because our 'entry' isn't qualified, thus no e-mail?

I wouldn't come to a hasty conclusion of disqualification just yet. Based on some of the e-mail receipt times, people are still receiving them. Give it some time and hopefully you will receive one, too.

I'm not even sure how they will enter all these email addresses and what if they have one that is mispelled? That means the person will not receive it...just as in the past if the mail would be wrongly delivered...

it doesn't mean you are disqualified unless you didn't have the right picture requirement and/or will be disqualified on something else like no HS or work experience...the rest will come later if you will be qualifying or not.

Q: You said the Department of State would not contact DV entrants by e-mail. Why are you sending this one now?
• Because of the computer error, we decided it was important to notify every person who might have seen incorrect information on the website. An e-mail was the fastest way to reach DV entrants.
• Winners in the new selection process will not be notified by e-mail. The results of the new selection process will only be available on the Entrant Status Check website on or about July 15, 2011.

If you've not received the email by now, most likely email went into you "Junk email folder". And if you had setup all junk emails to be deleted upon receipt, then you'll never see it again.

It is true, the drawing for the 2nd lottery DV2012 has already taken place. They are sorting through the winners to find "cheaters" and to verify that no computer glitch happened this time.

I believe they are sending emails to persons who actually checked their status during the period when the ESC was up. I also have a hunch that it's being sent in batches by region (I dunno why I think so, it's just a hunch).

Guys, just wait, you will receive it either selected or not, you must know, emails are sent to 19 million applicants :D imagine, it will take alot of time to be sent to all the applicants, it's a mass email-sending.

So give it a while and you'll receive it.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, Just spoke to a representative at KCC she said that "she doesn't have any information pertaining to the confirmation numbers, just continue checking the e-mail"

14.7 millions, 1 email per primary entrant, not to deriviatives

I think kcc don't want to tell anybody what is going on.
I agree, but when i had asked her the question, she hesitated for a few seconds, placed me on hold and told me the above. How in the world she doesn't know this information? So unprofessional!!!! Can't wait for this to be over. This situation has caused so much confusion and speculation. I wonder if there is anything else behind this so-called 'error'!!!!!

2012 results rescinded

Due to a programming error, the results of the 2012 DV lottery, which had been available since May 1, 2011, were rescinded on Friday, May 13, 2011. More than 22,000 applicants had erroneously been told that they had been selected for further processing. Government staff found that due to an error in the selection program, the selection had not been random, with more than 90 percent of winners selected coming from among those who had submitted their applications during the first two days of the registration period. As a result, the decision was taken to void all selection results and re-run the selection process. Entrants have been told they will be able to check the new results on or about July 15, 2011.[16][17][18] Whereas many applicants reported to the U.S. government that they had lost or had destroyed their confirmation numbers after checking the result on the Entrant Status Check website, the U.S. government decided to send an email with confirmation numbers to all qualified applicants on Thursday, May 19, 2011 to ensure they can check the result on or about July 15, 2011. Some people are making a petition for those 22,000 selecteesen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diversity_Immigrant_Visa#2012_results_rescinded

Even if the highlighted information above is true, KCC or DOS should have INCLUDED THE SAME IN THE NOTICE ON THEIR WEBSITE so that ALL WHO ARE DISQUALIFIED can put this year's DV lottery behind them rather than allowing them to wait until July 15th.
