Hi everyone

I urgently need some guidance, please and this forum looks promising.

I am 20 years old. I am a british citizen. I wish to get married to a guy who is in Rhodeisland however he is not an american citizen, he and his family are of pakistani decent and are on witheld removal. The man is 22 years old.

I wish to marry him and then bring him to the UK with me but i dont know how to go about this, i keep hearing that i have to be 22 years old, but this is so silly.

Can anyone please give me any advice?

Regards
UKres.

General minumum age is 21 to sponsor or be sponsored to UK.

Fiance(e)s and proposed civil partners
289AA. Nothing in these Rules shall be construed as permitting a person to be granted entry clearance, leave to enter or variation of leave as a fiance(e) or proposed civil partner if either the applicant or the sponsor will be aged under 21 (or aged under 18 if either party is a serving member of HM Forces) on the date of arrival of the applicant in the United Kingdom or (as the case may be) on the date on which the leave to enter or variation of leave would be granted.

Spouses and civil partners
277. Nothing in these Rules shall be construed as permitting a person to be granted entry clearance, leave to enter, leave to remain or variation of leave as a spouse or civil partner of another if either the applicant or the sponsor will be aged under 21 (or aged under 18 if either party is a serving member of HM Forces) on the date of arrival in the United Kingdom or (as the case may be) on the date on which the leave to remain or variation of leave would be granted.

How old are you? Did you say 20? And he is only 22?
Most people your age are not thinking about marriage. You need to think dating, college, career and maybe a little fun(alot).
According to statistics, early marriages (late teens or early twenties) have a ridiculously high failure rate.
Have seeked advice from your parents? Is he ready to commit to marriage? How long have you known each other? How long have you dated?
Honesty, marriage should not be in your mind right now. If your guy loves you and is able to make decisions on his own, ask him to come to UK and live with you. Maybe you guys can join the same college or university. By the time you are done with your studies, both of you will be in the mid-twenties. That would be a good time to start talking about marriage.
I wish both of you the best...

Not saying that marriage is a good idea for this couple, but marriage is probably the only way for him to go to the UK. At 22 he probably doesn't have the qualifications that would convince an employer to sponsor his work permit or qualify him for their skilled migrants program, and being a Pakistani citizen without a solid legal status in the US it's not easy to get a UK visa to visit.
