OCI for US Born Kid

Me and my wife already got our OCI few years back. I wanted to apply OCI for my US born daughter. I checked this forum after long time and looks like lot of things changed. This is the process I used 2 years back

- Fill the online form and submit
- Mail the Part-2 of the online form along with some documents.
- Keep checking status till you file is back from India.
- When notified, send the US passport to CGI houston and you will get the OCI card and passport stamped.

Now I see that there is new SC process. Do I need this for my daughter even though she was never Indian citizen. How long it is taking in Houston when no SC is required.

Any help is appreciated. I tried to read the forum but getting more and more confused.

----She does not need SC as she never had Indian passport. She needs proof that she is your daughter and for that you need to send copy of your and your wife canceled Indian passport. FYI they can ask Copy of your SC and your OCI or your wife SC with all her documents.

Any help is appreciated. I tried to read the forum but getting more and more confused.
