Urgent question pls help

hi all,

I have a kid born in US and we both are indian parents on green card. Does anyone know when a minor apply for indian passport, does indian consulate check with the state department if the same person applied for or holds US passport? I doubt it, but then how do they know?

Also, can a child leave for india on indian passport and can travel back on US passport? Has anybody done this?

Why do you wantt o travel to india on Indian passport and back to US on US passport.
You have to decide what citizenship your kid want to have and then get appropriate passport.

he wants to cut the visa expenses and avoid getting high quality education for his child in india at dirt cheap costs when it comes with a huge price tag in america.

---------then he should get India Passport and NOT US passport. when the child becomes 18 years if he wishes he can apply US passport with US birth certificate. Child is not responsible if his parents got him India passport.

----------- FYI all the Schools, colleges in India don’t charge extra fees if Child is NRI or OCI or PIO holder. It all depends on college or school.

FYI one can get Indian Birth certificate for child by paying bribe to Municipality clerk. with Bribe you can get any documents in India. Bangladeshi who enter illegally in India are getting Ration Cards then Pan Card and then Indian Passport all by paying bribe.
I think Indian government may pass a Bill that it is legal to take Bribe and allow Scams without any penalty.

well knowing india the way i do, a good percentage of schools and colleges do milk a person seeking admission if they know its a nri/poi/oci. may be not for schools, but for colleges ....uh... are u kidding me !

its very obvious that the vik30000 has private schools and colleges delivering high quality education in his mind.
