I'm wondering if my wife is eligible for 'expeditious naturalization' under 319(b) status. I am a US citizen and wife has conditional green card. We've moved to Italy for ~2 years for my job, I worked for Schlumberger Technology Corp in the US and now WesternGeco in Italy, both subsidiaries of Schlumberger LTD (NYSE:SLB).
Prior to the move my wife did biometrics for a re-entry permit to help preserve her green card as we don't know what our travel plans are for the next few years (we've yet to receive the re-entry permit).
My question is how to determine if SLB is considered a 'US company' under the rules of USCIS for 319(b) applications, thus making my wife eligible for expeditious naturalization? Any advice/help you could post which answers this question would be greatly appreciated.
FYI, I've already asked at an infopass appointment in San Francisco, they didn't know anything about expeditious naturalization. IO officer simply stated 1-to not reside outside of US if you want to keep green card 2-remove conditions on GC at appropriate time 3-apply for US citizenship at appropriate time .... They're not very helpful describing their own rules/system.
Thanks for your responses
