the answer to your question is simple, it is to wait and see, no one has the answer ,probably you may read different and contradicting opinions,
from dv 2010 experiance you might be current in september this time, just wait and see.

For October, immigrant numbers in the DV category are available to qualified DV-2010 applicants chargeable to all regions/eligible countries as follows. i dont think so. Not every case number before yours has a chance or attempt for visa application/approval. Trust me, if you got your first NL, then you are in the process, provided that you do meet the requirements. The only hassle in your case might be a timing: your case might become current close to the due-date Sept 30th, 2011. otherwise you have equal chance like everybody else who got their NL. Remember, they never reach the upper limit for visa applications (~50,000-55,000). Last year they issued only 48,000 visas. Good luck!
Also, if you are in the US already, do not attempt to do AOS (adjustment of status). Just return to Egypt, if you can, and do the CP (concular processing).
