Opening Medical Report Before the Interview

Good morning,

I am just wondering.. I have received the medical reports from the doctor, they are in an envelope addressed to the Consulate.
The letter from the Consulate advising what to prepare for the interview says all documents must be out of envelopes/ plastic sleeves.
Does this mean we can open the medical report before the interview, or must it stay in the envelope addressed to the Consulate?

thanks

Hi, in my understanding, Medical Exam Report and Police Certificate gonna be VOID if envelopes are opened by somebody else except Consulate officer. So, it is safer not to open it now.

Hope you get successful interview soon !!

DO NOT open up the envelope. This is for the consulate to do. This way they know the results come from the doctor and have not been tampered with.

Like previous poster says; opening it yourself will void the results and possible eligibility.

If you have accidentally opened any of the envelopes, you may go to another center, re-do the tests/x-rays, make another payment and discard the previous tests.

If you have opened the enveloppe, then request a new one. It is only the original of the copy you received at the doctors office...nothing special, but you need to bring it in the sealed enveloppe.

They mention that police certificates need to be original nothing about sealed envelope .. in my country they r picked up in person without envelope.
as for medical reports, i forgot to mention that in one of the forms you will be asked about date of previous tests..
im not sure if this means date of previous test done or submitted to visa office! if it is date of test done, officer may ask of why you repeated the tests

As for police certificate of Japan, it came with wording like "void if opened" on the envelope. Other countries might be different.
