Hello Everyone.
I'm new to this. I just had a simple Quesiton and in the need of some advice
I'm applying for my citizenship (GC holder) I moved to the US in 2003. In 2005 I got in an argument (little fight) with my little brother. He was upset and angry with me and decided to call the cops. I was arrested from home. The officer was upset that he had to do that to separate us. I was release from Jail next day. Went to court with my Family , My brother explaind to the judge what happened. My lawyer told me I was going to be fine its a family fight. All Dom Violence Charges were dismissed. I had a charge of Disordery Conduct Minor Misdemeanor $100 fine. I'm currently applying for my citizenship and to be quite honest Im really worried and freaking out. It was simple brother fight. I wasnt going to harm my little brother ever. My court case lasted about 5 mins and I was dismissed. I got all the paperwork required for my N400 app.

Am I going to get declined for this?

Please advise. I'm so sickly worried.

Thanks everyone

Go ahead and apply. Shouldn't be a problem.

A single disorderly conduct misdemeanor isn't something you need to worry about for naturalization process unless you're still under probation.

I wasn't put on probation at all. The Judge told me to go home and be nice to my parents and brother and sister. I paid the fine and went home.

Just apply. You won't know what will happen unless you apply. Send in N400 and keep worrying for 6 months and then get it over with. I don't think you will get be denied . You can only brint this matter to a closure by actually applying

Thank you so much guys. I wanted to let you guys know thatI just recieved my Oath letter.

However I recevied 2 of them One says Applicant copy. They both have the same date and time and place. Is that Normal?

Hey guys question . Do I fill the 2nd page of my ceremony letter at my house the day of my ceremony. Or should I fill it out at the place where ceremony is held at? The reason I'm asking OS because its asking me for an address after my signature. Thanks in advance for your help .:)

Complete that second page of the oath letter on the day of the ceremony in case there is info that needs to be updated between your interview date and your oath date (e.g., you took a trip out of the country or got arrested or something). Make sure you sign and date it for the date of your oath and put the place as where the oath is taking place, not your home address.

For both first and second line ? First line, it asks for City and State and second line for full address. So for both it Should be where the ceremony is taking place correct ??

The "Signed at" info on line 1 should be where the ceremony is taking place and the date should be the date of the oath ceremony. The full address and ZIP on line 2 should be your home address. At least this is how I remember myself doing it. I know there were people who put their home town on line 1 and were told to change it to the city where we were doing the oath. It really is not too big a deal because they will tell you to correct any of this address details that does not meet their expectations.
