If a person on H-1 status marries someone holding green card, is there a way the GC spouse can sponsor his/her H-1 spouse so that there is need to remain on H-1 anymore?
GC holder can file I-130 for spouse but it will take time(for India 5-6 years) but if GC holder is near to getting US citizenship and gets US citizenship then can file I-130, I-485 (if spouse is in US) and case can be approved in 5-6 months. GC holder can file I-130 and should update the USCIS when he/she gets US Citizenship.
