I am about to file for USC this month, I got my GC in June 2007 and I was wondering if anybody can answer this question for me.

Have you ever called yourself a " nonresident " on a fedesral, state or local tax return?
I have claimed on my state tax return in 2005 as a non-resident but I recently changed that last month. Should I say YES, I did claim to be a nonresident or NO?

Have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer?
I got 1 speeding ticket in 2003-2004 and got 2 point for that, and paid my fines. I also got 2 speeding ticket by running a red light in 2006. How should I answer this question.

Have you ever been charged with committing any offence or crime?

Have you ever been convicted of a crime or offence?
Recently, I found out that I got REGISTRTN/TITLE VIOLATION and EQUIPMENT MISUSE in 2008. I went to court but all point were dropped and I paid a court fee for the REGISTRTN/TITLE VIOLATION. EQUIPMENT MISUSE ---- I paid the fine thats it.

How do I answer all this questions, will I be able to become a citizen this year.

I got my GC through marriage to a USC in 2006.

You would answer NO since in 2005 you were not a LPR. The question asks "Since becoming a LPR, have you ever claimed non resident status on tax form"

If they required you to go to court they are considered citations and as such need to be disclosed.

You would answer NO since it is considered a minor traffic violation, not a crime or offense.

I went to court just to fight the ticket because the officer gave me 4 point for not turning on my head light and not yeilding right when pulled over. They drop all charges. on my BMV report it says:

C1 IN-STATE CONVICTION
COURT: FRANKLIN CO MUNI COURT COURT CASE: XXXXXX
OFF. DATE: CONV. DATE: POINTS: 00
OFFENSE: REGISTRTN/TITLE VIOLATION

C1 IN-STATE CONVICTION
COURT: FRANKLIN CO MUNI COURT COURT CASE: XXXXXX
OFF. DATE: CONV. DATE: POINTS: 00
OFFENSE: EQUIPMENT MISUSE

Check out the maximum penalty for these offenses. If there is jail time, then it is a crime, otherwise
you do not need to answer Yes to "Have you ever been convicted" for minor traffic violation even
technically it is a conviction.

The bottomliner is the IO does not really care and they should not care

I think "Registration Violation" ----It's a Non Moving Violation.
Equipment Misuse -- It's a Moving voilation.

It says there is no point for this offences. I will let the IO know about it though but will it affect my citizenship application?
