Parents on vistor visa with open return ticket

Hi gurus,
Please let me know if there are any issues if my parents come on return open ticket. Also if they need to extend their stay beyond six month, do they have any risk of losing their 10 year multiple entry visa. They came 5 year ago and went back within 6 months.

Yes. A rejected I-539 may result in enforcement of 222(g).
