I have attended my AOS interview on Dec'30 2009. The interview officer approved my AOS application and stamped my passport with I-551 stamp. But I haven't received any mail from USCIS and the online still shows my AOS application is under initial review (Last Update on Dec'14 2009).

Any one have/had similar experience. How long does it usually take to receive the green card after AOS approval during the interview.

It is usually arrives in 1-2 weeks after approval, but sometimes it takes about 30 days. If you still haven't received it by the end of the month, make an Infopass appointment to inquire about whether they have printed or mailed the card. But before that, use the I-551 stamp to visit the Social Security office to request a Social Security card without the employment restriction. Having the unrestricted SS card will enable you to use it for employment without having to show the GC.

Just an update.
Yesterday I received an email for "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident." and Today I received another email for "Card production ordered.". Hope I'll get my green card soon in the mail.
