Today was my De-interview date (2nd time). It took about an hour and half. even though I passed the test last time, i had to take the test again and i passed it . Then IO went through every questions in my N-400 and had me signed the last page. then he had another 20-30 questions on his system that he asked me. He asked several detail questions about my presents and my past such as if i know any one connected to dangerous group, have i ever sent money back to my country and etc.the he print those questions and i signed it.

Again they said they can't make decision right a way and i have to wait for a letter . It felt more like an interrogation than interview. :(

Should i be worried ? Any one here ever questioned like that before ? I am very nervous and i hope every thing goes well.

Please advise.

Thanks

I am from iran, but never been there since i came here. and no, i went to Europe couple of times for vacations.

With the info you provided, nobody will be able to guess what it is.

1) Which DO is it?
2) Do you have any convictions in the past?
3) Do you think any event in the past might have caused negative FBI feedback?
4) Do you think you have given wrong answers on the application?
5) Do you have any unusual events occured in the past that might show your character in poor taste or any concern for national security?

Give us more details and may be we can suggest something.

Baltimore DO, and no to all those questioned. I applied through asylum. got my GC. I have held couple of government security clearances. My FBI FOIA is clean and my fbi name check or this time cleared less than 30 days according to FBI office.

Did the IO say something hopeful like "I think you are eligible but I do need
my supervisor to approve it" which is typical said in many situation such as
having minor criminal record more than 5 year sold as we read on this forum?

What sorts of questions did they ask to make it take 1.5 hours?

And did you know that because it is more than 120 days since your first interview, you could have filed 1447(b) which would disallow them from doing a second interview?

At this stage, given the hostile nature of the interview I would file 1447(b) anyway so the case will be under court supervision, which would prevent USCIS from denying your case for some stupid reason. With this second extended interview it looks like they're fishing for a reason to deny you.

It seems the IO asked the OP dozens of well prepared pre-set questions which are not listed on N400.

Maybe technically the 1st interview does not count because they did not consider it is finished for example like N652 is not given, the applicants did not sign Part 13 and 14 etc. What does 1447(b) exactly to define an interview?

deny me on what ground ?

and yes, the IO first reviewed all my answers on my N-400( basically asking me to repeat the answer i pt on the application) and at the end he said that some one else need to review my case before they make a decision. he gave me a N-652 form and said wait 30 days before contacting us if you didn't get any letter from us.

Deny you for some bogus reason, hoping to make it a little less bogus by interrogating you until you make a mistake they can use against you.

Denials under 1447(b) have to be OK'd by the court, so they would prevent denial for a bogus reason.

What is the chance that courts are more nasty than USCIS?

Based on your post looks like they are suspecting some kind of association or support of terrorist group or something similar even though US considering Iran government terrorist soponser government and if you even have had send any money to relative might triggers such a activity.
Based on your past what do you think is going on and what do yourself think is happening? This is very uniqe situation and never heard of such a case.

man , i escaped from that country to come here and be free. as i said i held several government security clearances before. never went back to iran, never sent money or anything in that nature. all my family members are here as well. i have no idea why they were asking me those questions.

I agree with Jackolantern. They are definitely fishing for a reason to deny your application. Not only did they ask you unusual questions, but they also made you take the test again, which seems like a not-so-subtle attempt to trip you up. Since the U.S.-Iran relations are not exactly on the best of terms, I have a feeling that they are making you jump through hoops because of it.

It does not seem everyone from a particular sensitive country get this kind of treatment. Even many claim that when a USA has a bad relationship with a country,
in many respects, iit become easier for individuals from that country to get immigration benefits from USA. It is pathetic to take advanatges of that but many claim
that is the case.
