Hello,

I appreciate your advice on this:

I have rescheduled the date twice already, due to my travel commitment. Can I do it a 3rd time? Or in that matter, how many times/how long I can delay it without consequence?

Thank you!

Some people are waiting months to take oath and you want to reschedule again? Don't Take things for granted and just get it over with.

There was once a post that the poseter say he missed three oath and
then got a letter informing him his case was closed. It was not clear
whether he just missed oath without rescheduling or not. But I believe
there is a time limit one must finish oath. Otherwise some people may keep oath rescheduled for ever to get the benefit of "can any time become
a citizen of USA" but maintained the benefit of being the citizen of native country in order tovisit there without a visa.

Rescheduling your Oath three times is a huge risk. Just take it and get it over with. You're welcome.

I think I will take it!

You think you will take it? Get your *** over there and be sworn in and stop playing around... I bet if your case was delayed, you will be drooling all over the forum on how inefficient USCIS is, but now you want to create issues for yourself and officers who have to continually bump people over to accomodate you..:)

Tell me your name starts with something like Dumb. Let me guess. Dumbo? Dumbalina? No?

Did you act in the 1994 comedy "Dumb and Dumber"?

If you have not seen that movie...The character in movie called Harry says to Lloyd...

"Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this…and totally redeem yourself!"

damn - such selfishness!
can you imagine how annoying your post must look to people who have been waiting years and months fighting frustration and anxiety?
It's people like you who really make me wonder if certain people deserve the citizenship at all!

People who intentially skipped oath many times do not get sympathy here.
This happned before in thsi forum

It is just like if many are starving to almost death and suddenly come someone to ask "I have surplus food I want to delay to eat tell me how should
I preserve it?"

(even more kind advice)

Don't worry about it. Ask for re-schedule. Worst case is that the USCIS considers your application abandoned and closes your file.

As it appears that you have other more important things to take care of in the immediate future, go ahead and take care of them. You can always re-apply when you're actually ready to become a citizen.

So for the time being, it may be best to get out of line and let others who are ready, naturalize.

If you aren't ready for US Citizenship, you aren't ready. There's nothing else to be said about it.
