I am a US citizen residing permanently in Germany on a student visa.
My fiance is also in Germany, and is a Polish national.
Last year, he got a 10 year multiple entry B visa through his work, since he went to a conference in cincinatti. He was there for two weeks and did not over stay.
We want to go to the States this year for 3 weeks to get married. We have no intention of staying in the states or changing his status. We have no intention of staying past three weeks. During this time we will stay at my parents.
My concern is, we were stupid and booked the tickets together, so the immigration official will be able to see that he is traveling with a young female american citizen, which means my bf won't be able to lie about who he is traveling with, he'll have to say he's traveling with me, though we are intending on saying it's for tourism purposes, which i think only bends the rules a bit.
My question is, what is the likelihood of him being rejected at POE because he's traveling with me, and because we plan to stay at my parent's? Will this look too much like we're going to get married and try to change his status? Is there anything we can do to prove to the official at POE that we are not planning on staying? Return tickets have already been booked. Should I/my parents write him a letter, guaranteeing that he's just there to visit and will leave the country on time?
Anyone have experience being denied at POE while on a valid B2?
Thanks in advance!
