Hello everyone,
My husband is going to file 10 yr gc for me. We have a dental joint acct, but the problem is that the dental insurace only show his name as primary member since I am his spouse my name doesn't show on the insurance card. but it is actually a joint dental insurace cuz I am the spouse. We have called our dental insurace for sending any documents that can approve it is a joint acct. All my insurance agent saying is that in their system, it show my acct is a joint acct, but unforetunately on the insurance card , it can only show the primary member's name. but they(uscis) can always call them to confirm. I am thinking that does the uscis really going to call and check. It will be great if I just provide a document showing everything. My question is that how is everyone prepare the joint insurace card. Should I just give the uscis a copy of the dental insurance even it only shows my husband's name on it?

Have his HR print out his profile for insurance and it should show that he has you listed as the spouse.

I agree. Although both my wife and I work for different firms that provide employee and family coverage, we went with my employer since they have better plans. All three of my wife's insurance cards, health, dental and vision have my name on them.

It is not unusual for only the primary insured's name to be on the dependent's cards.

This is a minor issue which won't derail your filing. What you need to do is show joint documentation, if you have a health insurance card showing both your names, then no need to worry about the dentail card showing your husband's name on it. Remember that it is important to show clean white teeth and smell fresh air during the IO, plus they IO is required to look at the totality of the evidence to make a decision...:D

Show other forms of joint documentation...lease, bank statement-just 1st page. Personally, I plan to make and submit a sex-tape when I file for N400 in future, it seems to be the new big thing...
