Outside US for 4.5 months, what address to use, US address or address abroad?

I am eligible to apply for citizenship now, but I have a doubt about the address section.

I was outside of US for 4.5 months in 2008 and had no lease under my name. Although I worked for my US employer remotely --- I was on US payroll. I moved my stuff into a Public storage, had car insurance current, had my bank accounts, credit cards etc in tact. Can the experts like Bob, Jack tell me what address should I put for that duration? Should it be US address that I was using for getting my mail or the address abroad where I lived.

If you had no physical address in the US that you were supporting, then you'll need to use the foreign address.

Can the OP use the address that was used for bank statements, car insurance, credit cards statements, and possibly his payroll?

They need physical address, not the mailing address.
