Change Job and AC21 question

I am in process of changing job and move from one state to other, the job function is same.
I need following information
1 What information should i get from my current employer and lawyer for my future reference.
2 I have photo copy of approved I 140 form, do i need original
3 I have photo copy of my I 485 application and other copies of it being transferred to other service center etc.
4 Should i file AC 21 ASAP or wait for few months
5 Should i get a lawyer to do AC21,
6 I need to file AR11 change of address i believe, for I 485 application right.

Any suggestions, precautions i should take while changing jobs

i am EB3 India with PD Nov 2001,
 
You only need to send a photocopy of your I-485 receipt, and an official (original) job letter. Plus a cover letter explaining that you are using AC21 portability. If your I-140 is approved, it helps to send a copy of it also, although it is not required. No need for a lawyer. Send in the paperwork as soon as you're in the new job.

------------------You can file directly when join new employer. get Job offer letter with same/similar job duties from new employer. you can seach for "sample AC21 letter" it has been posted many times.
6 I need to file AR11 change of address i believe, for I 485 application right.
-----------------if you move file change of address with AR11 and also update address change for pending I-485 or any pending petition with USCIS. AR11 does not change the address on I-485.

----------------- Do you know your job duties on LC? if not try to get the copy of LC from Lawyer or employer (they may not give you if they know that you are going to change the employer)i am EB3 India with PD Nov 2001,

--------- if you keep the same lawyer then any RFE will go to that lawyer. you can hire new company lawyer so that he can send new G28 OR you can revoke the G28 sent by present company lawyer.

I have copy of labor which mentions skill sets, but the portion where money is specified is blacked out, this is only 1 page with PD and company information on it along with skill sets, is this sufficient to have.

what is your opinion about hiring the previous company lawyer as my personal lawyer so it would be lot easy as he has all the previous paperwork and familiar with my case.
I am going to join this company in 3 weeks, so should i file AC21 now, or after i join the company, i just received there offer letter. but not in AC21 format, i can ask for one in that format also

-------------------- You can do that,but company is giving him more work than you. I prefer to hire new company lawyer so he can send AC21 papers and can send new G28 Or hire your lawyer OR You can revoke the form G28 by sending letter to USCIS that XYZ lawyer no more represent you and any future communication should be sent to you directly on your home address……… if you decide to revoke the G28 then on cover letter write your name, A#, DOB, I-485 reciept# date , sign, your home address and make request to revoke G28 filed with your pending I-485. Attach the copy of I-485 filing reciept with letter and send the letter to service center where I-485 is pending, outside the envelop write in big bold letters " request to revoke Form G28 sent with Pending I-485". keep the copy of letter with you.

--------------------File AC21 After you join the new company.Get letter from new company after you join with joining date, annual salary, Skills or same job duties as on your LC and Permanent job offer( letter should be signed with date). Once you get the letter then you need cover letter to request for AC21+copy of your I-485 filing receipt+ new employer permanent job offer with same/similar job duties (skills to be written on the letter) and then you can mail it directly to USCIS service center where I-485 is pending. Keep the copy of all the documents you send to USCIS. Outside the envelopes write in big bold letters ATTN: Ac21 documents to be attached with Pending I-485 form. Mail the letter with certified return receipt.
**keep watch on your PD and once you see the visa bulletin that your PD is going to be current mail the AC21 documents.

in the last note you mentioned

What do you mean, i don't AC21 as soon as i join new company but wait for PD to be current? I am not sure if my current company will keep my I140 or notify USICS and cancel it

I am not sure if my current company will keep my I140 or notify USICS and cancel it

So basically your advice is to file AC21 as soon as i join new employer right and not wait for PD to be current.

Once you join the new employer and permanent job offer letter with same/similar job duties then file the AC21.
