Question about naturalized USC entering the country

I really hope the rate of rough reentries will be more like 1 in 100. Out of my 19 trips on GC all 19 reentries were pleasant. No trips on US Passport yet.

Never had a problem as well.
Even when I was entering many times on the visa waiver program, then J1, then H1B and now green card. The toughest question I was asked was what the purpose of my visit to the US was (obviously when I had no visa).
Actually, I never in my life got stopped at any Customs in the world until 4 weeks ago when I landed in Amsterdam from Cape Town and the customs agent asked if he could search my bag.
LOL, I must have a good-guy face... :)

Try working in Gulf as an expat. You will take the 1 out of 10 odds I offered anytime :)

I fly there 3 or 4 times a year and I never had any problem/issue/secondary inspection.
I don't live there, I just visit for business for a few days, and most of the times in Dubai.

Port of embarkation = Country with one of the worst crime rates
Port of dis-embarkation = Country where marijuana is legal
Passport = Italian

You really think it was your face? :)

I hope the customs guy was not a Pakistani immigrant himself who should have known not to search your bag :)

They guy had no clue where I was coming from and what nationality I was. I think it was just random. And he searched in such an approximate way that I could have had drugs in my bag and he wouldn't have found them.
Just old school government jobs in Europe.... :)
PS: The guy was pretty Dutch to me....
PPS: The Pakistani thing surprised me since that guy in Heathrow freaked out at my many stamps from muslim-majority countries.

Also, funny thing, when we went to Israel, I literally breezed through immigration and customs and security at departure.
My Jewish wife got grilled at all of them.
I would love to know how they are trained (no sarcasm, as I know they're really good at what they do).

One way to find out, move there and join them. I believe, and I may be wrong, that you and your wife can immigrate there instantly based on her faith.

mmm, thanks but no thanks. :D
And my wife doesn't even remember the last time she stepped into a sinagogue. And she does not like Israel.

Hmmm... Why would she NOT like Israel? :confused:It is called synagogue my friend. I know why she was grilled in Jerusalem...:) It is a secret among border agents and only few people know the reasons behind the little grill....:D It happens a lot to mixed couples, isn't the "Jewishtan" way..;)

She thought people were generally rude. And she could resist only a couple of hours in Jerusalem because she was scared of something happening.
I personally liked it.

There some of those people who drink rude beer every morning, and puke their hangover on other people. I sense the chances of attacks in Jerusalem are minimal these days, so if you plan to go next time, just get in one of those tour guides for a couple of days, will be helpful. Also, there is safety in numbers.

I am glad you liked it, it is a nice place with lot of history and significance. However, tough skin is required to survive life in Jerusalem and rest of Israel for that matter. Invite her to a synagogue on Hanukkah, go to the synagogue in Manhattan...;)
