I have an I-130 application filled since January 2007, my wife is a US citizen and she is sponsoring the application. I have not received any response from USCIS other than the application received receipt.
USCIS did however call me for an interview on July 1st 2009 but there is no direct response or mentioning of the I-130 in that letter. I went with my wife and my 8 month old son we had a two hour interview the person taking the interview was extremely satisfied since we have all the paperwork needed and said he we will get a response to us within a week.
I have not received anything since.
Two questions, I have not filed I-485 yet should I file for it already or wait after I get anything back (approval) on I-130?
Two, should I also file a new I-130 with the I-485 application since I haven't received anything back from the old one? Can we file two I-130 applications simultaneously being in process?
