I'm in the US. I arrived on the VWP. I got engaged after I arrived and we're now discussing getting married and applying for a Green Card for me. No I didn't have intention to stay when I travelled here, I gave up work etc after I arrived.
Well I'm REALLY homesick and so not sure whether to get married and apply for Green Card and wait all the time for that to come through (or Advance Parole) before I go home. Or just to go home and apply for a K1 and come back (which I am to understand is taking about a year at the moment - not sure I can stick that out living with my mother, lol!).
If you had these two choices - get married now and start green card app, or go home apply for K1, come back, get married and start green card app...which would you opt for?

Another question - if I applied for K1, could I visit my fiancé on the VWP? Was thinking go back for three months, come back here for three months.
Will it make any difference if we've already got a Marriage License? (Eg could I be refused entry for that?)
