what are the chances?

Hi there,

I am 3rd semester MBA student in Seoul, Korea. My wife is also graduate student in Seoul, she will not accompany me. Planning to apply for B visa for 3 weeks. do you think chances are high? what do you suggest more? how much money should I have in my account?

and one more thing. i have applied for DV lottery was not qualified for DV 2010. does it affect my visa process?
 
If you hold a South Korean passport, your chances should be high. Playing the DV lottery will not affect your chances.

That changes the equation. Depending on your citizenship, your ties to South Korea and your length of stay left in South Korea, your chances may be anywhere from bright to bleak.
